OUR STORY
Seven Layer Army Skateboards was born from a group of friends who shared a love for skateboarding while
growing up in Laveen, Arizona, just south of Phoenix. What started as weekends skating together quickly grew into something bigger, a movement rooted in community, creativity, and Native pride.
Founded in 2008 within the Gila River Indian Community, Seven Layer Army represents more than a skateboard brand. It represents where we come from. Our roots run deep in the Maricopa Colony (District 7), and our mission has always been simple: bring people together through skateboarding while creating opportunities for Native youth to express themselves, build confidence, and find community.
Over the years, we've partnered with tribal programs, behavioral health initiatives, schools, and community events throughout Arizona to create safe, positive spaces where young people can learn, grow, and have fun. We believe a skateboard can be more than just a piece of wood, it can build friendships, strengthen communities, and inspire the next generation.
Seven Layer Army is led by Paul Molina (Maricopa Colony, District 7) and Reuben Ringlero (Komatke, District 6), who organize skate competitions, demonstrations, and community events across the Gila River Indian Community and beyond. Every event promotes sportsmanship, creativity, and the importance of skating safely while encouraging riders of all ages and skill levels to participate.
Our competitions welcome beginners and experienced skaters alike, with divisions for youth, teens, and adults. More importantly, they're places where families come together to celebrate, support one another, and create lasting memories.

We're proud to collaborate with Tribal Nations, Indigenous organizations, schools, youth programs, and community partners who believe in the power of skateboarding to create positive change.
